Migration Memorial
New York and Liverpool

public art - concept design

Eighteen cast bronze acoustic sculptures
Various heights.

This project was developed in conjunction with Museums Liverpool and the South Street Seaport Museum in Manhattan to commemorate the nine million migrants who made the trans-Atlantic journey between the two cities.

The acoustic component of the sculptures is designed to make voice-like sound once the wind speed reaches 6mph (10km) allowing the viewer to imaginatively interact with space. This Mp3 file provides a sound sample.
