Seven hinged cabinets reflected the colonisation of Tasmanian landscape through the use of aerial photographs. A ‘window’ in each cabinet (see below right) contained a diorama which commented on the relationship to landscape.
The dioramas contained a variety of imagery including; roadsigns, historical images and photographs and suggested a less linear and more allegorical interpretation of history.
The work was exhibited in Australia and toured Asia as part of Location, Contemporary Photo Based Work From Australia, curated by Juliana Engberg and supported by Asialink.
