The designated theme for this artwork was Life and Movement and there are obvious references to life through the use of the flower/bud as a metaphor, which is beautiful, optimistic and organic.

The computer modelled bud is the focus for the images as it is nurtured by the flower and there is a sense of movement or growth in the relationship between the two images. In this sense the images reference the life cycle and our connection with nature. The flower is also widely associated with health and wellbeing and is used at significant events such as births.
